Joe's Crab Shack

If you ever find yourself in old town Sacramento, and you crave seafood, you can't go wrong with Joe's Crab Shack. OK, it's not exactly just a Sacramento tradition, but it's good enough to include in this list. You can get amazing seafood here, and most everything is fresh. If you have a hankering for shrimp or lobster maybe even crab, try them out.

Squeeze Inn

OK, so maybe it's not exactly fine dining, but if you love burgers, you've got to try the Suqeeze with Cheese from Squeeze Inn.

Suzie Burger

Located at the corner of 29th and P Streets, Suzie Burger is a Sacramento original. It was a favorite generations ago and was recently reopened to cater to a new crowd. It's housed in a wonderful retro-future Jetsons-like abode with cool graphics on the inside walls. Great burgers, cheeseteaks, and soft serve. It's a wonderful place that you will want to go back to over and over again.
